The Funnel Building Checklist I Use for Service Businesses

Marketing funnel wireframe on a desk

A funnel is a promise, a proof, and a next step. If any of those three is weak, more traffic will not save it. Before building anything I write the promise in one sentence and test it on someone outside the business.

The opt in page needs one offer, one form, and one button. Remove the navigation. Remove the second call to action. Every extra choice costs conversions.

The thank you page is the most wasted page on the internet. Use it to set expectations, deliver the asset immediately, and offer the call. Some clients book right there because momentum is highest at that moment.

Behind the pages, the automation matters more than the design. Delivery email within seconds, a nurture sequence tied to the specific lead magnet, a task for the owner when a hot lead appears, and a pipeline stage that updates automatically.

Finally, track properly. Page views, opt ins, booked calls, and shows. Without those four numbers you are guessing, and guessing gets expensive fast.
